3 steps to become an Au Pair

Find Host Families

Register and enter your preferences to find matching families (AuPair Finder is free for Au Pairs). You'll be able to pick things such as countries you'd like to visit, what sort of duties you'd like to perform, your hobbies and your interests. Then browse through the Families you match.

Results will be ordered by the closest match, with a percentage score, for example you might be an 80% match to Host Family preferences. Click on the family to see their preferences, you'll notice a green tick next to things you match on.

Send Messages

Send messages to Families you'd like to be an Au Pair for.

At the bottom of each family profile you'll find a send message box. It's a safe secure way to start chatting, express your interest and ask any questions.

Once you and the family think you want to go ahead, organise video chat via Skype.

Contracts and Visas

Now that you and the family have agreed to go ahead you should receive a form of contract from them. This is not as scary as it sounds. The contract just confirms the agreement you've arrived at with the Host Family to try and ensure there has been no misunderstanding.

Apply for your Visa, then confirm your arrival date with the family and book your flight.
